Dr. Murat Melek, SE, is the Director of Artificial Intelligence at Suffolk Construction. He has more than 15 years of industry experience, most recently as a Structural Engineer and Data Scientist at Walter P Moore. He holds a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from UCLA and a Master's degree in Data Science from UC Berkeley. Some of his significant projects include the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi in collaboration with Frank Gehry, and the Basaksehir Pine and Sakura City Hospital in Turkey - the world's largest base-isolated building. He is committed to utilizing data-centric design and management techniques to cultivate sustainable, resilient, and cost-effective structures.
